Have you ever thought about how many times God invites us to enjoy communion with Him through the rich offerings He presents?
Recently, my friend, Jeannie Waters, released her book, A Place at His Table The beautiful tome invites us to sit back and learn
more about the love of our heavenly Father through His glorious presentations.
Included in this book are wonderful table decorating tips,
recipes, and ideas for gathering friends and family to fellowship
together with God.
Among the types of gifts Jeannie talks about are:
- The gift of unconditional love
- The gift of acceptance
- The gift of gratitude
- The gift of laughter
- The gift of comfort
Each chapter ends with a prayer, a way to embrace God’s
gift, and a way to share the gift.
One example shared in the chapter about God’s unconditional
love is the way her mother always made pink grits and heart-shaped biscuits on
Valentine’s Day for Jeannie and her brother. The kids also were surprised with
chocolate at the table on this holiday. Jeannie’s mom created a special
breakfast for her children because she loved them and wanted to relate her
dedication to family.
Our heavenly Father loves us more than we can ever imagine.
He gives to us over and over and He wants us to know how special we are to Him.
This quote from the chapter on “The Gift of God’s
Unconditional Love” expresses the Father’s heart. “Mama only served pink grits
and chocolate treats for breakfast once a year, but God arranges expressions of
love on His table 365 days a year. Our heavenly Father’s steadfast love rises
with the sun and shines through the night with the stars and moon every day of
our lives—and forever.”
A Place at His Table invites you to pull up a chair
and feast at God’s banquet of glorious supply for every need we have.
When we realize the righteousness Christ has given us, we can then enjoy the table of grace His identity invites us to partake from.
You will enjoy this inspiring read as your soul soaks up the
abundance of our Lord. You can connect with Jeannie at her website and be

DeleteThank you, Leigh. The more I studied God's blessings, the more grateful I became for His presence and His many gifts. He doesn't always grant requests the way we ask, but as a loving Father, He knows what's best for us and blesses us in amazing ways.
