God's Roadmap

Now may the Lord Jesus Christ and our Father God, who loved us and in his wonderful grace gave us eternal comfort and a beautiful hope that cannot fail, encourage your hearts and inspire you with strength to always do and speak what is good and beautiful in his eyes (2 Thessalonians 2:16-17 TPT).

Human versus Animal, Who will Win?

by Barbara Latta

Harambe or child?

Human versus animal, who will win?
Society has gone mad over the killing of a gorilla while a little boy could have been dragged to his death and the event would have been treated as if he deserved it. Human versus animal, who will win? Apparently, most people think the gorilla should.

Protests are so great the police are now involved. Rest in Peace signs are carried and people cry. The issue is not whether the parents were at fault, but the attitude of people over the value of an ape over the value of a human being.

The world does not value God. Instead He is mocked. Because we are made in the image of God, when God is not valued human life has no worth. God loves us so much he sent His Son to die in our place so we would not have to face the wrath of the Almighty’s judgment. While the animal kingdom is God’s creation and He doesn’t want us to abuse it, He did not come to save them.

Months ago, videos were circulating revealing the atrocities of Planned Parenthood’s mangling and selling of baby body parts. A few Christian groups made an outcry, but for the most part, society yawned and went back to sleep. Congress can’t get the organization de-funded because too many people, including the president, won’t agree.

About the same time, the population was up in arms over the killing of another animal. Cecil the lion was so revered, a licensed hunter using a safari guide was tarred and feathered because he shot a lion with a name.

We are created in the image of God.
God gave dominion over the animal kingdom to mankind. We are to take care of all species and rule over them, not the other way around. God breathed into the nostrils of man the breath of life. He did not do that with animals.

I love going to zoos and enjoying the animals. I have pets and I am sad when something happens to them, but I do not elevate their status above that of a person.

Society has declined one small step at a time. One woman was able to get prayer out of school because she did not value God, and those who did value Him stayed silent. Abortion became legalized because the Supreme Court did not value human life. Homosexual marriage has been forced on culture because what God says doesn’t matter. Speaking God’s name or carrying a Bible on government property cannot be tolerated because the ACLU has been elevated to god-like status giving the country standards to live by. These events have de-valued humanity.

Now animals are more important than people because society has made its’ way of thinking
Human souls are in prison.
god. Human souls are in the prison of arrogance and stupidity.

Thankfully, a little boy is alive today because the zoo keepers had enough sense to put the child's safety first. I applaud their decision. Is Harambe really more important?

“They have exchanged the truth of God for falsehood, by worshipping and serving created things, rather than the Creator—praised be he forever. Amen.” (Romans 1:25 The Complete Jewish Bible)
