For God so loved the world that He
gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but
have everlasting life. For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn
the world, but that the world through Him might be saved” (John 3:16-17).
God loves
you!
Ever since
the fall of man in the Garden of Eden, we have all been born with a sin nature.
That is what separates us from God. Sin has a price to pay and that price is
death.
Jesus took the nails for you. |
For the wages of sin is death, but
the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord” (Romans 6:23).
God paid the
price for sin so we wouldn’t have to. He sent Jesus to be the sacrifice. All we
have to do is accept His gift and we are forgiven and cleansed.
If you don’t
know Jesus, ask Him into your heart today. When you do, you will be born again,
and you will have a new life with Him now and an eternal home in heaven.

Mmm, hope you don't mind me saying this :-) ... but it isn't sufficient to just ask Jesus into your heart to get to heaven. The Bible says that God calls all men to repent (Acts 17:30) and Jesus Himself called on people to repent (Matt 4:17). There has to be a turning away from sin before someone can genuinely receive Jesus as their Lord and Saviour. It isn't enough to just believe, even the devil believes in God and as we know there's no salvation for the devil (James 2:19). It's important that we don't preach a 'social' gospel, which is no gospel at all, but the true gospel which demands the forsaking of all to follow Jesus. :-)
ReplyDeleteYes, I understand what you are saying, but one can't ask Jesus into their heart without repenting. Jesus washes the sin away when we submit to Him. We can't do it on our own. We can't clean ourselves up before we come to Him. If we could, we wouldn't need Him. The devil does believe in God, but he doesn't submit to the Lordship of Christ. That's the difference in the word believe. Thanks for your comments.
