Mother’s Day is celebrated as a memorial to our maternal parent. We celebrate the lives and memories of our own mothers and we receive accolades from our children.
For some women, Mother’s Day may be a day that reminds them of mourning. Perhaps you have lost a child. Remember God’s promise that you will be reunited and that He sees your tears and hears your prayers. He knows your pain and His arms extend in comfort to you as His child.
Maybe you are a woman who wanted to have children and your desire never materialized. But you can still celebrate Mother’s Day because you have a mother’s heart. Maybe you serve in church and help with children’s ministry, or you teach school and your influence shows students a godly heart. You may be a person who takes care of friends or neighbors kids. You provide a mother’s impact on these young lives.
If you are like me you can read the Scriptures on these memes and feel
like you don’t measure up to God’s commands. But whenever I do revert into regret
over the ways I failed as a parent, the Lord reminds me of Romans 8:1.
There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are
in Christ Jesus, who do not walk according to the flesh, but according to the
Spirit.
Our heavenly Father knows we are not perfect parents. He
doesn’t condemn us and He doesn’t want us to condemn ourselves.

Happy Mother's Day Ms. Barb. I suspect that your "motherhood" extends far beyond those biological children you are blessed with, but many more within the spiritual realm in all the places you have served God my friend.
