A giveaway at the end of the post!
It’s that time of year. Christmas music flows through the airwaves on radios and store intercoms. In some parts of the country the weather has cooled off and the crisp air feels like snow and smells like evergreen. The Hallmark Channel is bursting with mistletoe and holly and the oldies we can’t find there can be viewed through DVD.
Black Friday sales have been advertised for weeks and now it’s time to shop.
For the readers on your list, (and maybe one or two for
you), here are some books I have bought this year and offer as Black Friday gift giving suggestions that provide insight and hope to help with your choices for giving to friends and family. These are all
available on Amazon and the links are included with the descriptions.

Destination Hope, A Travel Companion When Life Falls Apart by Marilyn Nutter and April White. We all face difficulties in life’s journey, and we can let situations rob us of hope that anything will ever get better. These authors share their personal stories along with those of other women who have traveled a hard road but survived with victory and hope.
For the Love of Emma by Starr Ayers. A collection of correspondence from the past the author found in a trunk inspired this historical fiction love story. Travel back to the World War II era and uncover the mystery of the one who penned love letters and how they influenced the future of a family. https://amzn.to/3bLbYZQ
Don’t Just Live…Really Live by Martin Wiles. Learn new lessons from Jesus’ Sermon on the Mount about victorious living by applying the principles the Lord gave to his followers. Abundant life is God's will for all of us. https://amzn.to/3nSH9ru
Island of Refuge by Terri Webster. A woman’s journey of healing from domestic abuse continues through this sequel to Journey to the Forgotten Coast. While this is a fictional account of this tragedy in our society, the circumstances are sadly too true in the lives of women all over the world. There is help and life after abuse as this story portrays and also gives sources for help.
Soul Care When You’re Grieving by Edie Melson. No matter what kind of loss we face, we grieve in some way. This book is the third in the Soul Care series and approaches handling grief through devotions, prayers, and simple art projects that help relieve stress and refresh the mind. A great gift for someone whose heart is hurting. https://amzn.to/3ka4RPc
